charmey.

Artist biography

Charmey is the solo project of French composer and pianist Marc Charmet, based in Budapest. He studied composition at the École Normale de Musique in Paris and previously played keyboards with Nuage Project.

His piano writing places melody and atmosphere at the centre, moving between intimate contemporary classical pieces and ambient landscapes. Paris and Budapest, the cities that shape his world, recur through a sense of nostalgia, unhurried observation and the texture of everyday life.

Charmey releases music through Siril Records. His recordings include Monotonies, Les Solitudes and Lost in Togetherness, a 2026 collaboration with Italian composer Edoardo Gastaldi. His live work includes Piano Revenge in Paris, Piano City Pordenone and the Felt Room concert series, alongside performances in Budapest.

Selected recordings

Lost in Togetherness was released on 15 May 2026 by Siril Records. Seven pieces pair Charmey’s piano with Gastaldi’s ambient composition. Artwork: Anna Petushkova. Mastering: Fabrizio Brugnera.
